Landscape

Location, location, location. That and a long wait. Landscapes, as far as the shutter is concerned, do not stand still. Wind blows grass, leaves, branches and water around. So much for your depth-of-field. You'd better till that wind dies down and that cloud goes away.
And those fourteen people who just appeared from over the crest of the hill.
Marvellous. Any landscape, in the UK at least, without people in them, that was taken during the day, is a lie.
A big lie.
Solution? Hire a plane. Do some shots from a mile up. People? Breezes? Who cares at 240 mph?
Weather - Incoming
And this is the reason we climb up mountains. To be attacked by snow coming *UP* the mountain after us.
We ended up hiding and warming up for ten minutes in a plastic tent, which is great once you've got it up, but God's own puzzle setting it up in a 30 mph wind coming from every direction all at once.
